Thanks for being here!

I want to start by saying THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE! Whether I have one reader or thousands of readers, I just want to say that I appreciate you for taking the time to explore this space with me.

I feel like most people find me through my Instagram page @houseofbrett and hardly anyone knows me by my actual business name (which is Ashley Brett Interiors). But that's okay! However you got here, I am happy! Besides, House of Brett might be a little bit more encompassing of what I hope to share here, because you will see a lot of my home and daily life as well as a curation of furniture, decor, and tools I have (or would happily have) in my own home.

Before I get too far, I'd like to share just a little bit about Ashley Brett Interiors. I work primarily in the residential space and take on only a handful of clients at a time, as I am a one-woman shop! I LOVE helping people transform their spaces into homes they love to be in. I work on full remodels, furnishing and decor projects, and everything in between! I even create custom room designs for long distance clients, which I call e-design. Currently my favorite rooms to design are nurseries and kids' rooms. I just love the opportunity to add a touch of whimsy to a space, and since I've got two little ones, creating homey, fun and functional rooms for kiddos seems to be top of mind right now.

What you will likely see the MOST of on my social media and this blog is the constant evolution of the home that I live in with my family. I have a husband named Jack (who absolutely LOVES all of my DIY projects and the constantly growing collection of material samples), and two kiddos, Samuel (4) and Fiona (2). We also have a super senior dog named Trigger, who is nearly 15 years old. Trigger stars in a lot of my house photos because when he gets comfortable somewhere, I don't have the heart to move him.

I work from home, which is a blessing and curse. I love the comfort of home and the ability to continue to improve it, but it can also be distracting when you look around and see toys that need to be put away and laundry that needs to be folded. Someday I'll share more of what is happening BEHIND the camera, but to keep from scaring you off too soon, I'll save that for another time.

Thank you again for reading! Please feel free to reach out with a DM on Instagram or an email (through the contact page) if you are looking for design help, or just to say "hi" or share some inspiration or a funny story. Hopefully you find my work and this blog insightful, inspiring and helpful. Tare care and come back soon!
